Family Tree Maker can be used to create a free website, this allows you to share your findings and link to other researchers who can view your website.

As well as names and dates, notes, images, books and reports can be added to the site and for those with a sense of adventure it is also possible to add a link to a video.

Creating a homepage takes just a few minutes and a couple of mouse clicks, the style of the homepage can be selected and changed as often as you wish, updating the homepage is a simple task and again can be achieved in just a few moments.

Visitors to your site can view any item you have placed online so remember that you should only include details that you wish to see available on the internet. The sites are password protected, this prevents anyone from editing your page pr changing the information you place on the site.
