County Meath is a county in the Republic of Ireland, sometimes called The Royal County. The county town is Navan, where Europe's largest lead and zinc mines can be found. Traditionally County Meath's economy was based on farming, having been Irelands major producer of potatoes and other root vegetables, as well as barley and wheat.
