Who are we....

Family Tree Forum was created in September 2006, as a site for genealogists to discuss research, and socialise.

The core reasons for its creation are lost in legend, but its founding ethos remains the same. To provide a safe, friendly and above all helpful site dedicated to helping genealogists whether they are just starting out on their quest, or nearing completion of their tree.

The Wiki

The Wiki is FTF's Reference Library where we provide information relative to all aspects of genealogy, and some that maybe isn't.
Managed by a dedicated team of volunteers, the 4,996 articles can be viewed by all. The majority of pages are also available for editing by all registered members.

Forums

The Forums contain the lifeblood of the site. They are the veins and arteries carrying the combined knowledge ofthe membership to ensure we can continue growing those elusive branches.

In addition, registered members also have access to the community forums where they can socialise, arrange meets and generally take a break from research.

The Magazine

The Magazine is published monthy and features submissions from members who wish to share their successes (and maybe failures) with others.

Names Database

Members Only

Registering as a member at Family Tree Forum will give you access to our names database. Searches are possible using any combination of First Name, Surname, Place of Birth and Year of Birth
Members can also increase the effectiveness of the database by uploading their own GEDCOM files...
