A commemoration of the centenary of the outbreak of the First World War. During the ceremony each evening, the names of 200 members of the Commonwealth Forces who were killed during the war will be read out. This is followed by the playing of the Last Post, played over the Tower moat which is being filled with 888,246 poppies, each one representing a death in the British forces during the war. To nominate a member of the Commonwealth Forces, click here.

To contribute towards the commemoration, Family Tree Forum has created a Roll of Honour to remember those who died during WW1 whilst serving their countries.
