Finland is situated in northern Europe, and is bordered by Sweden, Russia, Norway and Estonia. It is a country with thousands of lakes and many islands, with little arable land, being mostly forested. Finland has a strong Lutheran following, and much of the country is scattered with churches and monuments reflecting this.
