County Kilkenny is located in the south east of Ireland.
Inhabitants of Kilkenny are sometimes known as Kilkenny cats, although the reason for this has various origins. Kilkenny is, in the greater part, countryside - farmland dotted with medieval ruins, stone walls, and many historic monuments and pretty villages.
