The second of two churches to occupy this site. St Andrew's Episcopal Church, Fort William replaced the earlier Rosse Chapel which stood from 1817 until the mid 1870's, the earlier building had fallen into a ruinous and dangerous state.
George Baynton Davey is credited as providing most of the funds to demolish the old building and erect the new church. Featuring granite stonework and a slate roof the church was completed to the design of Dr Alexander Ross, of Inverness. Consecrated in 1880 the building sits prominently on the High Street.
