Dunluce Castle, County Antrim submitted by Cloggie

The state known today as the Republic of Ireland came into being when twenty-six of the counties of Ireland seceded from the United Kingdom in 1922. The remaining six counties remained within the United Kingdom as Northern Ireland.

As so many of the websites concerning Ireland deal with earlier times, we have decided to have this main Irish page. Many links on the page for the Republic of Ireland will also be relevant for researching Northern Ireland and vice versa.
