The dress of the bride on the left was in cream cashmere, trimmed with Beugaline silk and orange blossoms. Her long tulle veil was fixed in place with orange blossoms. Her bridesmaids wore dresses of electric blue, trimmed with cream velvet with white Leghorn hats.
The bride on the right wore a cream cashmere dress, trimmed with Brussels lace and orange blossoms. Her tulle veil was crowned with a wreath of orange blossoms. Her bridesmaids wore dresses of heliotrope cashmere and cream velvet, with hats to match. |

This was typical dress for a working class wedding. If the groom was in the forces then he would wear his uniform not a suit |

Amelia and Percy were married at East Wittering in 1922, it was a double wedding, her sister Annie married on the same day. Amelia was 25. |

My mother in law and her father taken at the entrance of St Aiden's Church, Shobnall, Burton on Trent. The brides veil is very long and was doubled over as the bridesmaid could not cope with it. I wore the same veil at my wedding and wore it full length. |
