Bookmarks are place holders you can drop on an individual or a couple so that you can return to them later. There are two kinds of bookmarks: Regular Bookmarks and Quick Bookmarks.
At the bottom of the main window, below the Family or Pedigree View and just above the bottom status bar, are three bookmark boxes labeled with a small 1, 2, and 3. These are Quick Bookmarks.

At the bottom left of the main window, immediately to the left of the quick bookmark boxes, is an icon that looks like a blue book; this is used to set/use/clear Regular Bookmarks. Bookmarks may be set for up to 200 people.
