County Longford
County Longford is one of Ireland's smallest counties. A mainly agricultural economy encompassing cattle and sheep rearing, and the cultivation of oats and potatoes. Although landlocked, much of Longford comprises of lakeland, bogland, pastureland, and wetland in its low-lying landscape.
Co. Longford is the birthplace of the writer, Oliver Goldsmith.
