Forteviot

Forteviot Kirk was built in 1778 and has attractive crow stepped gables and a small bellcote. Forteviot is the site of the ancient 6th century Pictish palace of the Kingdom of Fortren, the hub of modern Scotland. Arguably the first capital of Scotland!

Fowlis Wester - there has been a church on this site since the 13th Century. Houses a magnificent 7th Century Pictish Cross and has a Leper Squint. Founded by the nearby Augustinian Abbey of Inchaffray .
