Banffshire is quite unusual in that it had several small remote exclaves situated in the next county, the illustrated map (right) shows these small areas, they actually sit within the boundary of Aberdeenshire but had no political connections to the county of Aberdeenshire

Register Offices

The county of Banff is administered by both the Aberdeenshire Council and The Moray Council.

There are 12 full time register offices operated by the Aberdeenshire Council and a further four operated by Moray Council
