Clayton Church sits at the foot of the Downs below Jack and Jill windmills. The ancient church contains some medieval murals. The late Queen Mother's favourite fashion designer Norman Hartnell is buried in the churchyard,close to the porch.
There is an annual flower festival when excellent teas are served in the village hall across the road.
