Co.Offaly Map (source: Wikipedia)

Tullamore is the county town of Offaly, home to Tullamore Dew - an Irish whiskey previously distilled by Tullamore Distillery although it is no longer produced there. The main employment in the area was malting, distilling, stone quarrying and distribution. Much of the north of the county is a floodplain for the River Shannon, much of which is bog land, whilst Slieve Bloom Mountains dominate the south.
