  • St Mary was found to be unlocked on visiting on a Saturday in 2009. The churchyard is well kept and there is parking available by the church barn at the side. Parish records go back to 1558,and are at the County Record office at nearby Lewes.

Newtimber

  • St John the Evangelist was found to be unlocked on my visit on a Saturday. Ample parking in the lane outside. There is a map in the church detailing the name and location of all burials.

North Stoke

  • North Stoke is a redundant church which is unlocked daily by the next door neighbours. Services occasionally take place there. Research has recently revealed that the church was dedicated to the Virgin Mary.
