Petworth
- St Mary is open daily. The church no longer uses the original font which is in a very small Baptistry. Modern christenings use what is probably a Saxon font which was discovered in the Rectory garden at neaby Tillington. The church stands close to Petworth House and its Wyndham family "own" St Thomas' chapel within the church, but unlike the private chapel of the Dukes of Norfolk at Arundel church it is open to the public without a fee.
If planning a visit parking will be difficult in the narrow streets, many are one way.
Preston
- St Peter dates from the 13th century and is the original parish church of Preston. It is situated in the grounds of Preston Manor in Brighton which is owned by Brighton and Hove City Council and run by Brighton and Hove Museums. The Manor is open April-October and can be contacted on 01273 292770 for times when the church is open.
