I have been researching my family history for about 6 years on the internet and have made contact with a first cousin once removed on my Mum's paternal grandfather's side (Tivers) in Somerset. I was also contacted by a first cousin twice removed (in Canada) on my Dad's maternal grandfather's side. (Key).
I took over researching my husband's family from his brother about 6 years ago and have been in contact and met a previously unknown (on both sides) second cousin of theirs.
Names and areas I am researching include:
TIVERS from Axbridge in Somerset; Winchester in Hampshire; Chertsey & Weybridge in Surrey and Camden Town, Hammersmith, Fulham & Putney in London. Also Bethnal Green area of London.
CARSONS from Trowbridge in Wiltshire; Marylebone and Putney in London. Possibly also as CARSON in Ireland.
KEY from Martley, Great Witley and Abberley in Worcestershire.
LLOYD from Avenbury in Herefordshire.
KILPATRICK from Exeter and Crediton in Ontario; and Saskatoon in Saskatchewan, both in Canada. The family were originally weavers from Scotland and emigrated to Canada in 1821.
EVANS from Pound Bank, Great Malvern in Worcestershire.
WILLIAMS from Williamscote (Willscote), Cropready, and Wardington in Oxfordshire; & Culworth in Northamptonshire.
SELDON from Landkey, Crediton and Broadclyst in Devon.
SPILLER from Venn Ottery and Broadclyst in Devon.
SPEAR from Sandford (near Crediton) in Devon.
