Hi! I'm researching the family history of both myself and my wife - trying to keep track of all the various lines is quite complex but it does have the advantage of always having something else to research when one particular brick wall proves too much...

My side of the tree:

Cumming
From the area around Forres, Nairn & Elgin (just to the east of Inverness).
Surnames:
Macleod
From the Point district of the Isle of Lewis in the Western Isles (Ross & Cromarty).
Surnames:
Waite
One half is entirely from Lincolnshire - the other from Norfolk.
Lincolnshire Surnames: Wait[e], Atkin, Freshney, Starmer, Lou[gh]ton, Dawson, Moor[e], Horn[e], S[y,i]lvester.
Norfolk Surnames:
Ashman
Originally from Somerset but by about 1900 the family had moved into Birmingham.
