Welcome to the Family Tree Forum Costume Gallery.
Here you can display your pictures depicting clothing and accessories worn by your ancestors, and have the opportunity to tell us about how or why they wore the particular clothing that they did.
You may also wish to refer to our Costume Past and Present section of the Reference Library, in order to date or identify your picture.
Please use the links below to access the era you are interested in.

Any photographs submitted must be taken by members, or permission obtained from the copyright holder. By uploading images to our server you are granting a licence for their use by Family Tree Forum under the GFDL. If you are not in a position to grant such a licence, the image must not be uploaded. Images downloaded from the internet are not acceptable as they may not be able to be used under this licence. It is also important NOT to add pictures of living people without their permission.
Adding images to the Costume Gallery
Members may upload their own images if they wish - the code to be used can be seen by viewing the following example in 'edit mode'.
Don't forget that you need to upload your pictures to the site before you attempt to add them to the page with the coding.

Alternatively, members can post a thread in the Reference Library Community Board, using the Costume Gallery prefix, and someone will upload the image on your behalf.
